Pen Y Cymoedd Wind Energy Project is 76 turbine development within Rhonnna Cynon Taf and Neath Port Talbot.
The construction of the concrete bases would be supplied by an on-site concrete batching plant. Hydrogeo were commissioned as consultant hydrogeologists for the borehole water supply to the batching plant.
Hydrogeo provided hydrogeological inputs at all stages of the project including borehole feasibility and design, water features survey, regulatory liaison, pumping test design, supervision and analysis.
Hydrogeo was responsible for all acquiring the necessary Section 32 consents for drilling and pump testing and submitting the water abstraction license application and supporting documentation to Natural Resources Wales.
