Holiday Park, Mid-Wales
Client: Holiday Park, Mid-Wales
Our Client operated an existing holiday park in Welshpool, Mid Wales and was looking to extend the site to allow for an additional 54 no. static caravan plots. Hydrogeo were commissioned following numerous objections from Natural Resources Wales (NRW). The site was located immediately up-gradient of a sensitive surface water receptor.
Hydrogeo provided a comprehensive works proposal for the client which included the capture of site-specific data following a site investigation (Shallow groundwater monitoring boreholes) and site testing (Permeability testing). The results of the site-based works were used within the modelling software for the site, with the results presented in a robust report which was issued to the Client, the Local Planning Authority (LPA) and Natural Resources Wales (NRW) for review and determination.
Ultimately, Hydrogeo’s site-specific data capture and modelling proved critical to the project, and allowed our client to progress with works following a positive planning decision and acceptance from NRW.
